NBA coach and player arrested in gambling scandal

Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups and Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier were arrested for alleged involvement in illegal gambling on Thursday, US officials said. The case included a 2023 incident in Charlotte, where Rozier allegedly tipped off associates about leaving a game early with a fake injury. "Using that information, members of the group placed more than $200,000 in wagers," said New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch.
