Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan: Vice Senior General attends opening ceremony

Aiming to celebrate the Myanmar Traditional Atar Thingyan Festival happily and joyously for staff, staff’ families and the public, the opening ceremony of Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan was held on Thursday.

Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win together with the Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan organizing committee Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn and Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee Chairman Mayor U Tin Oo Lwin cut the ceremonial ribbon to open this Walking Thingyan.

Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan is being held in a grandeur and more thronged manner from 13th to 16th April, near the Nay Pyi Taw Mayor Maha Thingyan Pavilion on Pyinmana-Taungnyo Road to the intersection of Sipin guesthouse Road.

In order to make it unique and magnificent, 4 zones have been set - Thanaka Thingyan is in Zone 1, Ethnic Thingyan in Zone 2, international-level beauty and entertainment programmes in Zone 3, youth game Thingyan programmes for youth and children in Zone 4.
