Nay Pyi Taw Thingyan: Vibrant celebration attracts crowd of revelers

Thingyan Pandals in Nay Pyi Taw were crowded with revelers, celebrating the traditional Thingyan water festival on the 2nd day on Sunday. At the Nay Pyi Taw Mayor Pandal, revelers enjoyed the variety of entertainment programs, along with throwing water.
Union level officials also visited the Mayor’s Pandal and enjoyed the festival. Meanwhile, the Nay Pyi Taw Splash Walk attracts revelers from far and near with an array of entertainment programs featuring Korean K-Pop artists and renowned performers.
Stretching from the Mayor Maha Thingyan Pavilion to the intersection of Sipin Guesthouse Road, the Nay Pyi Taw Splash Walk promises to bring happiness to government employees and citizens alike on a grand scale.
With 26 Thingyan pavilions, including Ethnic Thingyan, Saduthitha Thingyan, Ministries’ Thingyan, and Youths’ Thingyan, as well as international pavilions including one from the Russian Embassy and the Myanmar-China Friendship Association, every comer enjoys the festival to their heart's content.
