





Magway Region chief minister U Tint Lwin, social affairs minister U Thant Zin Ko Ko, state level departmental officials and the trainees attended the Region-level Natural Disaster Management Course conducted by the Magway Region department of the natural disaster management held at the office of department at 1 p.m. on 19th September.
At the ceremony, chief minister U Tint Lwin said that in such a time of climate change, countries around the world suffer from the natural disasters and Myanmar is not in exception. Although it’s hard to prevent the unpredictable natural disasters in advance, every country is tackling the natural disasters to be mitigated.
The country is also carrying out the natural disaster management by forming the committees from the central level to the region/ district / township levels respectively. The task is not enough by an effort of only department or an organization, but it needs the collective efforts to protect from the losses of lives and properties of the people.
The chief minister also encouraged the trainees to share the skills and knowledge gained from the training. Next, the trainees introduced themselves individually. The region-level natural disaster management training will be given by 8 departments to the 50 trainees from the departments of the region.
The training will take place for 5 days from 19th to 23rd September, it’s reported. The course will be opened with 50 attendees and the eight departmental organizations will give the lectures starting from 19 September to 23rd September, 2022.
After the opening ceremony of the training course, chief minister U Tint Lwin and party inspected the storage of rescue items in the warehouse so that the Region Disaster management Department to provide those items to the victims in a timely manner in case of happening natural disaster and then the chief minister gave the necessary instructions.
