National ski mountaineering team prepares for World Cup

The Turkish Mountaineering Federation’s National Ski Mountaineering Team has officially entered its training camp in the Sarikamis district of Kars. The team is currently gearing up for the Youth Ski Mountaineering World Cup. The squad, consisting of 15 national athletes, is undergoing a rigorous training schedule involving four hours of daily practice.

The primary goals of the Sarikamis camp are athlete selection, performance optimization, and acclimatization. Sarikamis’s unique altitude and elevation profile provides an ideal environment for high-endurance preparation.The national team is preparing to represent Turkiye on the world stage later this month.
