National Quality Infrastructure: DRI and UMFCCI jointly organize seminar

The national level seminar on Quality Infrastructure jointly organized by the Department of Research and Innovation (DRI) under the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry was held at the UMFCCI Head-office in Yangon, Tuesday.
At the workshop, Chairman of the National Standards Council Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw and the UMFCCI President U Zaw Min Win gave speeches.
At the seminar, officials reported the tasks being carried out for strengthening national-level quality infrastructure and services, national quality certification processes, transition from good agricultural practices to productive practices, checking electrical equipment, works to enhance the efficiency of laboratories in Myanmar and recommendations for producing and selling of safety food.
They also discussed requirements and suggestions on national-level quality infrastructure process. Officials from public and private sectors, relevant Ministries and Departments and representatives from UMFCCI and Brother Association and officials attended the seminar.
