National Parliament: Use Of The Red Cross Emblem Bill Clarified And Sought For Approval

15th Regular session of 2nd Amyotha Hluttaw National Parliament convened its 13th day meeting in Nay Pyi Taw, Wednesday.

At the session, the Union Level Organizations asked about arrangement for designating the buildings in Dala shipyard that is the oldest and biggest one owned by the Inland Water Transport as the World Heritage in line with set standards and adoption plans to be beneficial for Maritime Museum or regional development by renovating the whole shipyard, construction of retaining wall to prevent bank erosion by Shwe Chaung creek in Pakokku, plans for ward and village development for the people living in Tatkatho and Pale Depar wards in Myeik of Taninthayi Region,  renovation of No.1 High School buildings in Paletwa, Chin State and construction of new RCC 2-storey school building, plan to upgrade Nagatwin village high school (branch) in Monywa township, Sagaing Region, construction of a new 2-storey RC building in Salin village High School (Branch) in Htantalan township of Chin State in 2020-2021 financial year, supervision on the functions of private schools, plan to construct a new RC building in the place of Sein Kantlant village Primary School in Let Hset village of Minla township, Bago region, upgrading of Kyay Ni Basic Education High School (Branch) in Let Padan township, Bago Region and fencing brick wall at Set Yone Su ward High School (Branch) in Sittway of Rakhine State.

MPs also raised questions on arrangement for development of Myanmar’s Sports Standard, upgrading of 100-bed District People Hospital in Thahton, Mon State, renaming Nursing Related Field Practice Training School in East Dagon Myothit Township of Yangon Region, budget allocation for Ayethaya village rural health center (Branch) in Chin State and upgrading of Oaktha Myothit Sports field in Bago Region.

The reports of the Heath Assistant Council Bill and the Use of the Red Cross Emblem Bill were clarified and sought for approval.

A proposal urging the Union government to issue mandate for private sector to produce the mixture of ethanol and gasoline in an appropriate proportion as Myanmar has to import over 2 million tonnes of gasoline annually, aiming to decrease trade deficit of the country was sought for approval.

The Speaker clarified about implementations of 2nd Amyotha Hluttaw 15th Regular session and also announced conclusion of the 2nd Amyotha Hluttaw National Parliament.
