National Parliament: Questions Asked, Motion Discussed

The 2nd National Parliament convenes the 6th day of 12th regular session on Wednesday.

At the question and reply section, the representatives asked the asterisk mark questions including the government’s decision on a road construction project in Hinthata Township to be implemented with the grant of World Bank and had been conducted survey last two years ago, renovation works of traffic islands on Yangon-Mandalay expressway, upgrading of inter-village road into a gravel road from earth road in MoeHnyin Township and other 5 questions.

A judge from the supreme court of the union submitted 4th revised union judicial law to the parliament. The representatives discussed a motion tabled by the representative of constituency (5) of Ayeyawady Region encouraging the union government to carry out preventive measures and draft the sufficient law, by-law and directives to prevent imminent gross accidents and heavy oil pollution which can be caused by the giant oil tankers of PRC unloaded crude oil at MaDay Island Deep Seaport, Rakhine State.
