National Parliament: 2019 New Plant Variety Protection Law Informed

Amyotha Hluttaw, National Parliament convened its 10th Day meeting in Nay Pyi Taw, Wednesday.

MPs raised questions on extension of a downtown road in Lai Linn Pi, Matupi township, upgrading Kalay-Falam-Hakha road by the Ministry of Construction as quick as possible, construction of a motor road linking Suh Khwar in Hakha township and Hna Rein in Htan Talan Township, upgrading of Boke Kan-MaLu-Zee Phyu Kone village-to-village road in Tamu District as well as Shwe Pyi Tha-Arr Hsar-Nan Kwae village road section in Myitkyina.

The parliament also sought approval for the 4th Amendment Bill on Union Judiciary Law.

The Speaker also informed 2019 New Plant Variety Protection Law that was sent back by Pyithu Hluttaw with amendment to the parliament. MPs from Taninthayi and Bago Regions as well as Kachin State also discussed Fisheries Bill.

A proposal on urging the Union Government to assess the standard of private education institutes opened by their own curriculums or by connecting with foreign universities or educational institutions and certificates issued by these Institutes was discussed and sought for approval.
