National Museum & NUAC: Graduation ceremony & variety performance show

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin together with deputy minister and permanent secretary visited the National Museum (Yangon) on Monday.

At the meeting hall of the museum, Director of the Museum reported through powerpoint presentation on the purpose of opening the National Museum (Yangon), background history, displays of 13 exhibitions, visiting local and foreign visitors and students.

In response to the reports, Union Minister stressed on finding the way to increase the number of visitors to the museum and cooperation with relevant departments in Yangon Region to visit basic education high school students and university students.

He added that the Ministry will coordinate with the Yangon Region government. Then, Union Minister viewed around the galleries and gave necessary instructions. Next, the Union Minster attended the 26th graduation ceremony and variety performance show for 2022-2023 academic years of the National University of Arts and Culture at the National Theater in Yangon.

In the first session of the ceremony, attendees viewed around the art exhibitions of graduated students and enjoyed the movies screened by the Cinematography & Drama students.

In the 2nd session, the Union Minister gave a speech saying that the graduation art exhibition and performance show are a good tradition of the university and has been 26 years. The show is not only for knowledge of relevant arts but also for professional level of personal skills and qualities.

The group performances highlight creativity, collaboration, adaptability, emotional intelligence, social and leadership skills. He added that the National University of Arts and Culture have produced the students for 30 years and made a wish preserving and promoting the national culture and arts heritages.

Next, the Chief Minister of Yangon Region made a speech at the ceremony. Then, the students from music, dramatic arts and Cinematography showed their talents and Union Minster and attendees enjoyed their performances.

At the ceremony, 22 paintings of art students, 8 carvings of sculpturing students, 4 music programs from music specialized students, 4 puppets of dramatic arts students and 3 drama and films of Cinematography & Drama students were displayed and staged.

The Union Minster, deputy minister, the chief minister of Yangon Region and attendees also presented honoraria at the ceremony.
