National Kandawgyi Gargens: SAC Chairman inspected national Kandawgyi Gardens

The Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing accompanied by the Council Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Council Member Lt-Gen Nyo Saw, Union Ministers, Mandalay Region Chief Minister, Senior Tatmadaw Officials from the Office of the Commander In Chief, Commander of Central Command, Mandalay Mayor and officials inspected the status of conservation works of National Kandawgyi Gardens in Pyin Oo Lwin in the morning on December 8.

At the briefing of the garden, Director General Dr. Thaung Naing Oo of the Forest Department clarified the location and historical facts of National Kandawgyi Gardens, completion of implementations on guidance given during the inspection tour of the Head of State, status of water inflow into the lake, construction of stone laid drainages, cleaning and greening tasks, growing duck weeds, orchids, Pyin Oo Lwin Cherry and Japan Cherry and culturing ornamental fishes in the lake, CEO U Yarzar Htwe of Kandawgyi Gardens Responsible Company explained the preparations for organize 16th flower festival of National Kandawgyi Gardens, arrangements to display local and international flowers dividing 8 zones and entertainment programs and Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung elaborated implementations for the urban development of Pyin Oo Lwin Township, implementations for being a tourist destination City as per the sectors and the cleaning and greening tasks for the Township.

In responding to the clarifications, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister gave necessary instructions and urged to carry out to be model Township as Pyin Oo Lwin is a flower City for the visitors to emulate the Township’s pleasantness, neat and tidy and pleasurable environment, the requirement of the residents to collaborate in disciplines, clean and smart living style as per the individual, family, street and ward and  to maintain the good climate by growing trees developing green zones, systematic plantation and preservation.

Next, the SAC Chairman and party viewed around the Kandawgyi Gardens by motorcade including the displays in butterfly museum and orchid garden, local flower species research center and experimental research plantation and the status of producing fertilizer of Organic Earthworm Castings and gave necessary instructions to the responsible officials. The SAC Chairman Prime Minister fed the ornamental fishes and cordially greeted the people of making vacation.
