NASA readies spacecraft for 'mission to touch the sun'

29 March 2018

NASA scientists put the finishing touches on the Parker Solar Probe yesterday. The space craft is on its mission to the sun in July. The spacecraft will have to survive temperatures as high as 2,500 Fahrenheit. It will circles as close as 4 million miles to the sun. Data sent back to Earth some 89 million miles away will help scientists figure out why the sun's atmosphere, or corona, is hotter than its surface.
