N. Korea first UN address in seven years

North Korean Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Kim Son-gyong addressed the UN General Assembly on the final day of the high-level week. He reiterated that Pyongyang will never give up its nuclear program and will not denuclearize under any circumstances.

Vice Foreign Minister stated that asking them to denuclearize means giving up our sovereignty and right to survive, and violating our constitution. Kim strongly criticized military cooperation among South Korea, the U.S. and Japan, justifying North Korea’s nuclear weapons as its right to self-defense.
