Myanmar Women’s Day: Taninthayi Region CM attended the occasion

The Myanmar Women’s Day which falls on today on 3rd of July was observed at the City Hall of Dawei Township of Taninthayi Region.

In his opening remark at the occasion, Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko, first, extended words of honor for all Myanmar women on the Myanmar Women’s Day and pointed out that as the National Level Strategic Plan (2013-2022) for the development of women in line with the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) and 12 critical areas of concerned of Beijing Platform for Action was drafted and the period of action plan has expired in 2022, the National Level Strategic Plan (2013-2022) for the development of women (Phase II) is being drafted collectively by leading of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement with the ministries and organizations etc.

Next, the region Chief minister awarded the outstanding women, the documentary Video was screened and the Chief Minister, Chief Justice of the Region High Court and Region Ministers enjoyed and encouraged the children from a pre-school who performed with the song “Let’s unite for the country of the national brethren”.
