Myanmar VS Japan: 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar Qualifier Match

Myanmar and Japan played the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar qualifier match on Tuesday evening at Thuwunna Football Stadium in Yangon.

Japan beat Myanmar 2-0 with 2 goals in the first half.

Although the Japanese team had many talented players and Europe-based young players, fans of Myanmar football team didn’t lose hope on their team to get goals in the 2nd half.

Fan, R Zar Ni said “Being a Myanmar citizen, I’m here to support Myanmar team. Now first half of the match is gone. However, I want to encourage Myanmar team to fight without losing control for the left minutes.”

Fan, Aung Ko said “I can accept any result of this match. I’ve been supporting Myanmar team for a long time. Being a Myanmar citizen, I really want Myanmar team to win this match. I’m still eager to support for the left minutes.”

Fan, Myo Hlaing Win said “For now, I saw the really good goal keeper and defender in Myanmar team. So, I hope Myanmar team to be still strong for the 2nd half.”

For Myanmar team, this is the second match in Group F of 2022 World Cup Qualification. And as being the preliminary joint qualification, the second round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers also plays as the second round of 2023 AFC Asian Cup China qualification.

The Myanmar national football team was against Mongolia in the opening match of Group F qualification round at the Mongolian Football Federation Football Stadium in Ulanbaatar – Mongolia beat Myanmar 1-0 there.
