Myanmar-Thailand: State Counsellor Received Foreign Minister Of Thailand

The state counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi received Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand who is currently in Myanmar to attend the 9th Meeting of Myanmar-Thailand Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation and a commemorative reception to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of Thailand – Myanmar Diplomatic Relations at the ministry of foreign affairs, Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.

 At the meeting, they discussed to promote bilateral relation and cooperation between Myanmar and Thailand and cooperate in economic, social and cultural sectors, exert the efforts to protect and promote the rights of Myanmar migrant workers, uplift the relationship between the provinces along the borders of both countries, establish the model villages based on the agriculture and livestock breeding to facilitate Myanmar government’s efforts for the development of Rakhine State, to promote the friendly relation among the people of the two countries, cooperation in the fishing sector, Thailand’s assistance to open the vocational training schools for the capacity building of Myanmar workers and to find the approaches for the cooperation in all dimensions not only between the two countries but also in the region.
