Myanmar Situation Update: SAC Information Team makes clarifications

Leader of the Information Team of the State Administration Council Major General Zaw Min Tun on Tuesday provided update on the situation in Myanmar.

The Major General highlighted members of the Sangha and the people are strongly protesting violent actions of the MNDAA terrorist insurgents destroying a pagoda north of SiAwl Village in Laukkai Township of northern Shan State. Terrorist insurgents are forcibly recruiting people including 10-year-old children.

The Major General also stressed the meeting between Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Mr. Sun Weidong which discussed acceleration of cooperation, efforts for stability in border areas and plans. He also explained matters including safety measures for locals in northern Shan State.
