Myanmar-Russian Federation: MoLA Union Minister received delegation of RF

Union Minister for Legal Affairs Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo received a delegation led by the Prosecutor General Mr.IgorKrasnov of Russian Federation at the credential hall of the Ministry of Legal Affairs in the morning on 22nd March.

The trip of a delegation of Russian Federation led by theProsecutorGeneralMr.IgorKrasnov is a follow-up to the negotiation to sign two sets of Memorandum of Cooperation with the Ministry of Legal Affairs and the Office of the Prosecutor General of Russian Federation according to the coordination with the Minister for Legal Affairs Mr. Konstantin Chuy Chenko by Union Minister for Legal Affiars and Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo when she was attending 10th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum by the invitation of Mr. Konstantin ChuyChenko.At the meeting, the communications between Ministry of Legal Affairs and Office of Prosecutor General of Russian Federation, issues to be able to collaborate in the legal sector, exchange of information and experiences related to the legal system of both countries and legal affairs, joint- coordinations, organizing conferences, workshops and plenary sessions and asking to send the experts for the sharing sessions and learning were cordially exchanged. Then, the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Legal Affairs and the Office of the Prosecutor Geneal of Russian Federation was signed by the Union Minister Dr. Thida Oo and Prosecutor General of Russian Federation Mr. Igor Krasnov.

Also present at the signing ceremony were the directors general of the Ministry of Legal Affairs, Ambassador of Russian Federation to Myanmar, deputy Prosecutor general of Russian Federation and officials.After the signing ceremony, the Union Minister Dr. Thida Oo took the delegation led by the Prosecutor Geneal Mr. Igor Krasnov to paid respect to the Uppadasanti Pagoda, signing the guest book of the pagoda and viewing and feeding the royal white elephants.

Union Minister Dr. Thida Oo hosted launch to the delegation led by the Prosecutor Geneal Mr. Igor Krasnov at Jasmine Naypyitaw Hotel and the Union Minister for Foreign Affairs and Union Minister for International Cooperation and Ambassador of Russian Federation to Myanmar also attended. During the trip of the Attorney Geneal Mr. Igor Krasnov, the opening ceremony of “Seminar on Legal Cooperation Between Ministry of Legal Affairs” jointly organized by the Ministry of Legal Affairs and the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russian Federation was held at the Ministry of Legal Affairs and afternoon on 21st ofMarch.

At the Workshop, the subject of “Topical direction of international legal cooperation of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation in the context of modern threats and challenges” by the Deputy Director General of the General Department of International Legal Cooperation Mr. Sergey Vladimirovich Plokhov and “On the Russian experience of countering crimes in IT-sphere, including illicit turnover of crypto currency and other virtual assets” by the Deputy Director General of the Organizational and Research Department Mr.DenisKunevwere lectured and a totel of 75 participants including 45 law officers form the Ministry of Legal Affairs, 8 officers from the Ministry of Home Affairs, 7 officers from Anti-Corruption Commission, 15 law Major students from Naypyitaw State Academy attended.

The trip of the delegation of Russian Federation led by the ProsecutorGeneralMr. Igor Krasnov showed the benefits due to a trip taken place during the period of 75th Diamond Jubilee Diplomatic Relation between the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Russian Federation, signing the Memoramdum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Legal Affairs and the Office of Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation and organizing Seminar on Legal Cooperation. So, the trip will facilitate more cooperation in the legal affairs between the two countries.
