








Jointly organized by the Mandalay University of Foreign Languages and Shukshin Altai State University for Humanities and Pedagogy (ASUHP) of the Russian Federation, the opening ceremony of Russian Language Office and Russian Language training course was held at the Mandalay University of Foreign Languages on Saturday.
The ceremony was attended by Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe, Mandalay Region Chief Minister, Deputy Minister for Education, regional ministers, Russian Consular to Myanmar Mr. Pavel Kablukov and many other concerned officials as well as invited guests.
The Union Minister, Chief Minister and Russian Consular to Myanmar ceremonially opened the ceremony. The 2nd session of the ceremony continued at the Thiri Yadanar Hall of the university.
Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister stressed that the government is actively working on the development of the education sector and tasks are carried out to implement Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2030 as a member of United Nations.
MoU are being signed between the Myanmar universities and the international universities. In order to improve the bilateral relations between Myanmar and Russia, the beneficial cooperations in various areas are also being expanded, he added.
Then, the Chief Minister U Myo Aung and Russian Consular to Myanmar Mr.Pavel Kablukov expressed words of appreciation on opening the Russian Language Office and Russian Language training course. It was followed by screening a video clip featuring the collaborative activities of the Mandalay University of Foreign Languages and ASUHP.
The ceremony was concluded by exchanging memorial gifts. After the ceremony, the Union Minister and party visited the Culture Gallery and viewed around the displays of Chinese, Thai, German, Korean, Japanese and Russian traditions and cultures.
On arrival at the Yadanar Pon University, the Union Minister and party viewed around the library. He also stressed to use the library effectively and fulfilled the requirements.
