Myanmar-Russia: MOI UM received ambassador of Russian Federation

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn received Mr. IskanderAzizov Ambassador of Russian Federation to Myanmar at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on June 7.

During the call, they cordially exchanged views on the prospect of cooperation in Media sector, status of collaboration between the GlobalNew Light of Myanmar Newspaper and Sputnik Information Agency of Russian Federation, arrangement underway to sign MoU between Russian-Myanmar TV Broadcasting sector, Media exchange trips between the two countries, further promotion of tourism sector between the two countries and other sector-wise cooperation.Also present at the call were Deputy Minister U Ye Tint, Permanent Secretary U Win Kyaw Aung, departmental heads and diplomatic official from the embassy of Russian Federation, it’s learnt.
