Myanmar-Russia Meeting: Joint Task Force for Energy Cooperation

Myanmar-Russia Joint Task Force for Energy Cooperation held its first meeting via video conference on 10th July.

The meeting was co-chaired by Deputy Minister for Energy U Thant Zin and Russian Deputy Minister of Energy Mr. Sergey Mochalnikov. The meeting discussed energy cooperation between Myanmar and Russia,   future plans of cooperation, development of Natural Gas Pipelines Network, import of LNG, upgrading and operation of new refineries, import and distribution of petroleum products, investment opportunities in Myanmar's energy sector and exchange of information on energy sector.

The second meeting of Myanmar-Russia Joint Task Force for Energy Cooperation is set to be held in coming September.
