Myanmar-Russia: DPM MOFA UM received Russian MOFA DM

Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe received Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Mr. Andrey Rudenko at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 21st February.

During the meeting, they discussed matters pertaining to the further strengthening of existing friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between Myanmar and Russia especially in economic and tourism sectors, provision of more scholarships for Myanmar students and enhancement of collaboration both in regional and multilateral arenas.

They also highlighted the importance of government-to-government relations as well as people-to-people contacts between the two countries. Deputy Prime Minister also briefed on the government’s endeavors to restore peace and stability in the country.
