Myanmar Rubber Forum 2023: Strengthening collaborative efforts for industry growth

The second day of the Myanmar Rubber Forum 2023 continued in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday, with the presence of Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation, U Min Naung. The Director General of the Agriculture Department outlined ongoing initiatives aimed at fostering the growth of the rubber industry.

The session progressed with comprehensive reports on the outcomes of groupwise meetings, focusing on pivotal areas such as production enhancement, infrastructure development, and the formulation of policies, institutions, and investments. Union Minister U Min Naung delivered concluding remarks, commending the harmonious efforts of all stakeholders that contributed to the success of the forum.

The two-day event resulted in the formulation of 12 short-term action plans and the inception of 9 long-term projects. The forum adopted the commitment to continue organizing rubber sector development seminars, fostering the participation of all stratas within the rubber industry. Additionally, there was a consensus to extend the Sustainable Natural Rubber (SNR) initiative.
