Myanmar Police Force Day: VSG attends 58th Anniversary Ceremony

Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win attended the 58th Anniversary Ceremony of the Myanmar Police Force Day on Saturday.

The Ceremony at the MICC-2 in Nay Pyi Taw was also attended by many other high ranking officials and artistes.

In his speech, the Vice Senior General stressed a series of matters including the need to cooperate with the Myanmar Police Force and that transnational crimes need to be dealt with only through coordination between countries as well as cooperation with the INTERPOL, situations where efforts are being made to combat transnational crime, effort to eliminate drugs in the country and also cooperation with the ASEAN member states, anti-trafficking measures in cooperation with neighbouring countries and international organizations, actions against money laundering and the financing of terrorism and training to make the Myanmar Police Force a capable and modern international-level police force.

The Vice Senior General also urged member of the Myanmar Police Force to make efforts to be full of capacity, serve duties, adhere to rules and ethics and to keep the entire social organization safe and secure in accordance with the law and with efforts and compassion.

The Ceremony continued with screening a video clip marking the 58th Anniversary of the Myanmar Police Force Day. The Vice Senior General and the SAC member Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Soe Htut presented awards before touring the booths displaying records, machines, arms, uniforms and many other police-related items.

Also, Chief of the Myanmar Police Force Police Major General Zin Min Htet gave a speech. Awards were also presented to outstanding members of the Myanmar Police Force.
