Myanmar Onions Exports: Aiming to export 100,000 tons in 2023-2024 fiscal year

From April to February of 2022-2023 fiscal years, Myanmar exported more than 90,000 tons of onions which worth 41.388 million US dollars to foreign markets. 

Myanmar’s onions are mostly exported through sea and border trades to Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, China, Malaysia, Bangladesh and the United States. According to an official of the Ministry of Commerce, Myanmar aims to export 100,000 tones of onions to foreign markets in 2023-2024 fiscal years.
