Myanmar-Norway Coop: Capacity Building Program On Lead Auditor Course

Capacity Building Program on CQI and IRCA Certified Lead Auditor Course is underway in Nay Pyi Taw.

International experts are to share knowledge on Environmental Law in Singapore, Risk Based Thinking and Auditing the ISO 14001 during this 5-day training which began on Saturday.

Deputy Director, Environmental Department, Thin Thin Soe said “This training program will give us many opportunities to learn about the international practices on hazardous waste management relating to such industries as oil and gas.” 

Managing Director, Myanmar Sustainable Development Engineering Services, Aung Nanda said “The main objective is to implement the environmental management system successfully. Attendees who complete this training will be awarded international-level certificates.”

It’s learnt that Master Plan for Hazardous Waste Management in Myanmar (Draft) is being implemented by Myanmar’s Environmental Conservation Department in collaboration with Norwegian Environment Agency and the Norway-based Foundation for Scientific and Technical Research.
