Myanmar New Year: New Year Paritta Recitation in Nay Pyi Taw

The State Administration Council Office organized New Year Paritta Recitation on Thursday. Prior to the ceremony, Council Secretary General Aung Lin Dwe offered emerald alm bowl, water, fruit and flowers to the Buddha Image.

The congregation later received nine precepts from the State Ovada Cariya and Presiding Sayadaw of Maha Thihanadha Monastery in Tatkone, followed by the sermon delivered by the members of the Sangha.

The Council Secretary and party later donated offertories to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha.

The congregation then listended to the sermon, administered by the State Ovada Cariya and Presiding Sayadaw of Pyinmana Mingala Zayon Pali University and shared the merits gained. Following the ceremony, day meal was offered to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha.
