Myanmar / India: Union Minister for Construction receives Ambassador

Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant received Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Abhay Thakur at his Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw.

In this meeting, both sides cordially and frankly exchanged views on the development of the road and communications sector, development of border trade and a fast and smooth flow of goods, further improvement of the socioeconomic life of local people, the development of tourism, upgrading of the Paletwa-Zorampu Road and the Yakyi-Kalewa road section aided by India (Grant Aid), and work plans to be carried out regarding the maintenance of 69 bridges on the Tamu-Kyikone-Kalewa Road.
