Myanmar-India relation: SAC member attended 76th Republic Day of India

The State Administration Council member Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for the Prime Minister's Office Admiral Tin Aung San and wife attended a grand reception for India's 76th Republic Day at the Wyndham Grand Hotel in Yangon on Monday.

They were warmly welcomed by Indian Ambassador Mr. Abhay Thakur, his wife and other relevant officials. Also present at the occasion were Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr. Kan Zaw, Chairman of the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission U Paw Lwin Sein, Deputy Ministers and their wives. 

The event began with the national anthems of Myanmar and India, followed by a video showcasing bilateral cooperation of the two countries.

The Ambassador then delivered a welcome speech. Attendees enjoyed traditional dances by the Indian Cultural troupe before the Deputy Prime Minister and Ambassador, alongside their wives cut the ceremonial cake. The event concluded with a documentary photo session and a dinner hosted by the Ambassador and his wife.
