



The Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, led a high-level Myanmar delegation departed Nay Pyi Taw Military Airport by a special flight from Myanmar Airways International (MAI) on Tuesday morning at the invitation of the government of People’s Republic of China to attend the 8th Greater Mekong Sub region (GMS) Summit, the 10th Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit, and the 11th Cambodia-Lao PDR-Myanmar-Vietnam (CLMV) Summit.
At the airport, the delegation was seen off by the Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister, Vice Senior General Soe Win, Secretary and members of the Council, Union Ministers, the Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, senior military officials from the office of the Commander In-Chief (Army), Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command and Deputy Head of Mission and officials from Chinese Embassy in Myanmar.
Accompanying the Prime Minister were the Council’s Joint Secretary, General Ye Win Oo, Council member General Nyo Saw, Union Ministers, Chief Ministers from Tanintharyi, Yangon, and Ayeyawady regions and senior military officials from the office of the Commander In-Chief (Army), deputy ministers, and other civil and military officials.
During the visit, the Myanmar delegation will attend the summits, engage in discussions with the officials of the Government of People’s Republic of China, and tour notable sites, universities, factories, and workshops in China. Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, and other officials accompanying the delegation will also hold sectoral discussions with their counterparts to further bilateral cooperation. The visit aims to strengthen friendship and foster collaboration between the governments and people of Myanmar and China across various sectors, including economic development and multilateral cooperation.
