Myanmar health delegation: Delegation led by Union Minister for Health

Myanmar delegation led by the Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win left for the Lao People’s Democratic Republic by Airway in the evening on 6th August to attend the 16th ASEAN Health Ministerial Meeting and Related Meetings held in Vientiane City from 8th to 10th August, 2024.

The delegation led by the Union Minister was seen off by the officials of the Ministry of Health at Yangon International Airport and some official from the Ministry come along with the Union Minister as members of delegation.

The 16th ASEAN Health Ministerial Meeting and Related Meetings is hosted by the rotating chairmanship of Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

The delegation will attend ASEAN Health Ministerial Meeting, work reviewing meeting and the ceremony of presenting ASEAN Smoke Free Region Award on 8th August, 2nd ASEAN+Korea Health Ministerial meeting, 10th ASEAN+3 Health Ministerial meeting, 9th ASEAN+China Health Ministerial meeting and ASEAN-US Health Ministerial Special Meeting on 9th of August.

During the period of meeting, the various topics for development of health sector in ASEAN Region will be discussed, it’s learnt.
