Myanmar Gems Emporium: 640 jade lots sold on Day 7

The 60th Myanmar Gems Emporium continued its 7th day at the Mani Yadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw on Sunday. Local and foreign gem traders examined jade lots displayed both inside and outside the hall.

Out of 900 jade lots from Groups A and B, 640 lots were sold through the open tender system. For Day 8, traders inspected jade lots from Group C and submitted bid envelopes into tender boxes. These bids will be opened and checked in the evening, and the results will be announced on the 24 November.

Union Minister U Khin Maung Yi, Chairman of the Myanmar Gems Emporium Central Committee, also visited on Sunday, to observe the tender-opening process and gave necessary instructions. A total of 5,085 jade lots from Groups A, B, and C are being sold throughout the emporium. Remaining Group C jade lots will continue to be sold until 26 November.

Foreign traders may purchase using USD, Euro, Yuan, Baht, or other currencies accepted by the Central Bank of Myanmar, while local traders may pay in Myanmar kyat.
