






The clarification and demonstration of test voting regarding with Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) was held at the meeting hall of the Union Government Office in the morning on 14th August and the Union Minister for the Ministry of Union Government Office (1) SAC member Lt. Gen. Soe Htut, Union Minister for the Ministry of Union Government Office (2) U Ko Ko Hlaing, member of Union Election Commission U Aung Lwin Oo and U Ko Ko Lwin, responsible officials from the commission and officials from the Ministry attended the occasion.
First, UEC member U Ko Ko Lwin clarified regarding with Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM). Next, an official from UEC explained relating to the building of MEVM including control Unit, Ballot Unit, Verification Unit, making up of ballot box and batteries, the machines made up and purposes of using, taking out the voting results from the votting machine and counting, storage of voting machine and insurance of voting machine’s security.
Next, UEC member U Aung Lwin Oo clarified the purposes of building Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine. Then, Union Ministers Lt. Gen. Soe Htut and U Ko Ko Hlaing supplemented regarding with MEVM.
Afterward, the attedees and 86 officers and staff members observed the MEVM and conducted test voting. In the afternoon, the officials from UEC carried out clarification about Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine and test voting at the ministry of industry and 85 officers and staff members conducted test voting.
