A Myanmar delegation, led by Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin attended the third World Oil and Natural Gas Conference in Xi’an, China.
During the event, the delegation held separate meetings with the Sudanese Minister of Energy and Oil, the Ambassador of the League of Arab States to China, the CEO of Central Asian Oil City, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the conference, the Deputy Secretary General of the China Association for Asian Economic Development Mining Professional Committee and officials from Iran's National Innovation Fund.
The discussions focused on oil and natural gas production, using advanced technologies in petroleum product production, fostering innovation and enhancing cooperation including direct procurement of exploration equipment from manufacturers. They also had a friendly and open discussion about hosting the Asian Oil & Gas Equipment Exhibition and an Investment Forum for the Oil & Gas Sector in Myanmar at the end of 2025.
The Union Minister also attended as a guest at the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Central Asian Oil City and the China Association for Asian Economic Development Mining Professional Committee.
