Myanmar Delegation in New Delhi: Seminar on Constitutional and Federalism

Myanmar delegation led by Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peace-Making Negotiation Committee Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung arrived back in Yangon on November 7th after attending the Seminar on Constitutional and Federalism in New Delhi of India.

The seminar was organized by the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA). During the tour on November 5th, the delegation attended the seminar and extended greetings at the opening ceremony. The seminar discussed roles of president and administrators, re-establishment of federal union, and distribution of power and taxation by federal system. They also made a separate meeting with the Financial Commission of India.

The seminar continued on the 6th with discussions focused on regional experience and Panchayati raj system or local self-governing system, as well as the co-existing among the diverse language and others in modern country.
