Myanmar Delegation in Guilin: ASEAN Media Partners Cooperation Week

Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint attended the 2024 ASEAN Media Partners Cooperation Week in Guilin City of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in China on November 8th. Prior to the opening ceremony, officials from the China Media Group and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region held a separate meeting with the delegation leaders of ASEAN member states.

During the meeting, discussions were focused on media cooperation and future plans. During the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister U Ye Tint made a speech, highlighting the crucial role of media in various fields. He stressed that media could bring benefits for fostering friendship among the countries and its people and at the same time, it could harm the peace and stability of the countries due to spreading of fake and false news.

The Deputy Minister called for collaborative efforts to foster the shared future with unity and harmony in line with the theme of the event “New Quality, Coexistence, and Civilization”.
