Myanmar delegation: 2nd ASEAN-MRC Water Security Dialogue to be attended

Myanmar delegation led by the Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi left Yangon for Vientiane of Laos in the morning on 17th September to attend the 2nd ASEAN-Mekong Commission Water Security Dialogue and was seen off by the officials from the Ministry at Yangon Internatioinal Airport.

The dialogue will be attended by the high ranking officials from the office of ASEAN Secretary general, national level representatives from ASEAN countries, chair and in-charges of Mekong River Delta commission, experts on water management from China, Korea, Canada, Switzerland, New Zealand, Singapore and the US and the water security in Mekong and ASEAN Region, resilience for the environmental impacts and formulating effective policies for the collaborative process will be discussed, it’s learnt.
