Myanmar-China Relations: Union Minister receives delegation

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing received a delegation led by Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar Mr. Chen Hai at the Ministry on Wednesday.

At the meeting, they discussed cooperation on immigration between Myanmar and China, mutual entry and exit approval at the border gates, international border gates upgrade between the two countries, status of extension approval of residence permit according to visa type, border crossing by the border pass tickets, future plans to implement according to bilateral agreement since 1997, necessary assistance for people in cyclone-affected areas and China's cooperation in the repatriation of those from Rakhine State and discussion with Bangladesh.
