Myanmar’s Ministry of Home Affairs and China’s Public Security Ministry held the 7thMinisterial meeting on Law enforcement and security cooperation in Nay Pyi Taw.
The Chinese delegation led by Member of the State’s Council and the Minster for Public Security Mr. Wang Xiaohong arrived in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday. Before the Ministerial meeting, at the Horizon Lake View Hotel, member of the State Administration Council and Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and the Chinese Minister held a meeting from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The 7thMinisterial meeting on Law enforcement and security cooperation focused on matters including stability and peace in border areas, opportunities to attend meetings such as the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) and China-ASEAN Police Forum, implementation of the Lancang-Mekong 5-year work plan (2023-2027) project, human trafficking, cybercrime, money laundering, cooperation and assistance in matters related to the arrest of Chinese fugitives, joint research activities related to crimes occurring in border areas and exchange of information.
And, minutes of the meeting were recorded in order to effectively and efficiently implement the discussed points.
