Myanmar / China: Cooperation on Hotels and Tourism Sector

Deputy Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Phyo Zaw Soe received the delegation led by Mr. Yan Jinhai, Chairman of the Government of Xizang Autonomous Region of China.

The meeting focused on matters including arrival of Chinese tourists to Myanmar, Visas on Arrival, media in China, Familiarization Trip (FAM Trip), tourism cooperation between Myanmar and China, tourism promotion activities, exchange of visits between tourism destinations of Xizang Autonomous Region and Myanmar, pilgrimage cooperation and investment in hotels and tourism sector in Myanmar.

After the meeting, the Deputy Minister hosted a working lunch to the delegation. It’s reported that the delegation visited the tourist attraction destinations in Nay Pyi Taw during the trip which is intended to increase cooperation in the fields of tourism and culture between the Xizang Autonomous Region of China and Myanmar.
