Myanmar / China: Commander visits Chinese naval ships in Yangon

Yangon Command Commander Maj-Gen Zaw Hein and high-ranking officials from the Tatmadaw (Navy) on Wednesday evening made a tour to the Chinese destroyer and frigate from the44th PLA Navy Escort Task Group (ETG) which is in Myanmar for a goodwill visit.

Senior Captain Sun Bo and officials welcomed the Yangon Command Commander and officials and made explanation about their naval ships. Officials from the two sides also attended a dinner on the destroyer. It’s reported that earlier the day, officials and other ranks from the Tatmadaw (Navy) and the Chinese goodwill naval delegation played a friendly basketball match at the Thanlyin Station.

The delegation also visited prominent places in Yangon, it’s learnt.
