The Hong Kong Palace Museum has teamed up with a local jewellery company to launch a five-year “Chinese Gold Craftsmanship Heritage Education Programme”, to foster awareness of Chinese gold artistry amongst young people.

The exhibition featured some 30 gold treasures, showcasing various aspects of Chinese gold craftsmanship, which required skills in embossing, filigree, and hammering. The facial features and movements of the 35 characters are remarkably lifelike.

This work took a seasoned artist half a year to complete. Starting this Saturday, three exhibits will be on public display for free at the Jewellery Group’s concept store in Central until the end of this month.
