MSMEs & regional development Shan State CM attends coordination meeting

A coordination meeting on agriculture, livestock, MSMEs businesses and regional development in Shan State was held at the Shan State government office in Taunggyi on Thursday.

At the meeting, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye discussed systematic utilization of the land, making field trips on the land use, using quality paddy seeds, striving for meeting the target, cultivating quality edible oil crops and expansion of onion, garlic and potato plantations, producing bio and natural fertilizers used by animal wastes to reduce the production cost.

He also stressed on conducting dam and river water pumping projects to distribute water for the agricultural tasks, systematic breeding of livestock to produce frozen meats for local market and export, getting raw materials, input, capital and human resources for the development of MSME enterprises, using the state economic promotion fund effectively and striving for local food sufficiency.

Next, chairmen of the sub-administrative bodies (East/North) of Shan State Government, secretaries of Self-administered Zone/Region administrative bodies and Chairmen of the district administrative bodies reported on the agriculture, livestock, micro, small and medium enterprises and regional development and relevant state level departmental officials also discussed general affairs on which the State Chief Minister discussed the needs.
