





MSMEs products exhibition organized by the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) was held at the Lotte Hotel in Yangon on Sunday. It was attended by the Secretary of the Central Committee on Development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and members, Chairman of the UMFCCI and other concern officials.
At the trade fair, the Union Minister for Industry said, MSMEs trade fairs aimed to search the market for MSMEs businesses, provide the financial resources, encourage the innovation and digital transformation, solve the techniques error, and connect with the international network.
The Union Minister added that about 90% of industries in Myanmar are MSME businesses and MSMEs are the main driving forces for economic promotion and development of a country. Efforts are being made for amending the law and policies to encourage the MSMEs industry. He also said that MSMEs products exhibition would be good results as it could help to achieve strong connection and get opportunities.
He stressed the need to cooperate between UMFCCI and other private sectors. After that, the chairman of UMFCCI reported on development activities and future plans for MSMEs industry. Then, the Union Minister for Industry, Yangon Region Cheif Minister and members, and other invited guests viewed around the display of MSMEs products in trade fair.
