MSMEs Development: Union Minister inspects MSMEs in Nay Pyi Taw

Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than together with officials of Nay Pyi Taw MSMEs Development Agency and the Ministry inspected Agga Gayhar Myanmar carving work in Nay Pyi Taw Ottara Thiri Township, Eain Shinma rice, edible oil Retail/wholesale trading in Myoma market of Zabuthiri Township, Saw Nayla Foodstuff Industry and Nay Pyi Taw Pon Yeik Thit Laser Engraving, Cutting& Souvenir Shop in Tha Pyay Kone market broker’s sale center and Morindacitrifoliasoft drink manufacturing industry of April Four Co., Ltd. in Dekkhina Thiri Township on Monday.
During the inspection, the Union Minister said that the State is planning to disburse 170 billion kyats as a MSME special fund for entrepreneurs who want to expand their business for the development of MSMEs.
In order to sell MSME products widely and to upgrade their digital skills, a technical course related to the digital economy system for capacity development has been opened and trained with the support of partner organizations.
The course conducted digital fundamentals and the importance for MSMEs, digital skills and practical exercises required for creating product advertising text, data management, topics related to promoting the product brand online including cyber security and digital currency management.
He called for MSME entrepreneurs to follow the orders and directives issued by the State. In the afternoon, the Union Minister attended a clarification on the guidelines of the SAC Chairman Prime Minister at the Union Government Meeting (5/2023).
At the meeting, the Union Minister clarified the Prime Minister’s guidance and said that the Ministry must follow exactly the Prime Minister’s guidance as a policy and guideline. Factories and workshops in industries must be managed to increase productivities for the local sufficiency. He called on having capacity in group and individually for achieving in carrying out tasks and to train the staff to have capabilities by analyzing the requirements systematically.
