MSME Products Exhibition &Talk Show: The very first event organized in Kachin State

Kachin State MSMEs Development Agency organized its first time MSME local products exhibition/competition and Talk Show at the city hall in Myitkyina on 23rd May. The event was started with the opening remark of the Kachin State Chief Minister, Chairman of the State MSMEs Development Agency U Khet Htein Nan.

In his speech, the Chief Minister said that MSMEs are over 90 percent of the country business and it can develop the country’s GDP as well as can provide job opportunities. He also urged all to cooperate in implementing for a better economy by organizing MSME products shows, competitions and talk shows and the local entrepreneurs can be able to know strong points, rich in regional natural rescourses and can show cultural heritage through this kind of exhibitions.

And the Chief Minister heard the reports of the secretary of the Regional MSMEs Development Agency. The Chief Minister and officials then viewed around 32 MSME booths showcasing regional weaving clothes, consumer goods, cosmetics, agriculture and livestock products, finished amber products, natural fertilizer, rubber, medical products and edible oil.

During the MSME Talk Show, led by the head of the Department of Industrial Supervision and Inspection in Kachine State, Manager of Myanmar Economic Bank in the State and officials from Small Scale Industries Departmet, Food and Drug Administration and Department of Consumer Affairs discussed departmental policies to develop MSMEs, norms and providing loans. The Talk Show was concluded with the knowledge and sharing and question and answer session.
