

Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice Senior General Soe Win met with the MSME businessmen, departmental personnel and local ethnics in Danu Self-Administered Zone of Shan State (South) on Saturday.
Officials and businessmen reported on implementations of MSME businesses and efforts for development of MSMEs as well as the challenges in doing businesses.
The Deputy Ministers explained the needs to have cooperation of farmers in production of quality seeds and research works, loan disbursement process, providing capital for cooperative associations, providing the agricultural inputs, training courses being posted on the MSME Central Committee Website and other assistance being provided at the respective regions and states.
The Vice Senior General stressed that economic development is important for development of a region. For the economic development, peace and stability and rule of law are essential.
He urged the local community to keep on maintaining the existing peaceful situation in cooperation with the security forces. He also expressed the needs to have technology, capital, inputs and human resources for successful implementation of the businesses.
He added that during the current government, the Prime Minister has granted 5 billion kyats loan disbursement for local ethnic businessmen, and the officials are needed to allocate these loans to the capable businessmen who are actually in need of capital. He also stressed the need to pay back the loan during the set period of time. Since Pindaya is one of the famous tour destinations of the country, it is needed to boost production of local products to promote tourism.
The Vice Senior General called for cooperation of all concerned persons for further development of Pindaya area. He later presented gifts for the staff. The Vice Senior General and party later viewed the displays of local products including, foodstuff, consumer goods, industrial products and traditional products.
The Vice Senior General and party later visited Shwe Umin Natural Cave and paid homage to the pagodas and cetis. They also visited Ceti Gyi Monastery and donated rice, edible oil and offertories to the monastery. They also submitted the religious matters to the Residing Sayadaw and received the admonishments.
