MSME Development: VSG addresses the Work Committee meeting

A Work Committee for Development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises held its meeting in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

Chairman of the Work Committee Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win attended the meeting and gave a speech.

The Vice Senior General Soe Win said it is needed to strive for boosting production in the regions and states based on the local raw materials so as to ensure the One Region One Product guidance, given by the Prime Minister.

The work Committee and Region and State Agencies are needed to carry out the tasks for encouraging local products, import substitution and boosting imports through coordination.

The Region and State agencies have to implement the tasks by laying down the work plans that could support the capital and technology to the MSME businessmen by means of cooperatives and private system.

The work committee also needs to support for market penetration to the international arena. He urged all to make cooperative efforts for development of MSME businesses for promoting the state economy.

The Secretary of the Work Committee, the Union Ministers and officials presented the work undertakings. In response to the reports, the Vice Senior General coordinated the needs and gave a concluding remark.
