







A ceremony to transfer 18 kinds of technologies to MSME entrepreneurs was held at the Department of Research and Innovation in Yangon on 7th March in conjunction with Food Safety Awareness Seminar implemented by Lancang- Mekong Cooperation Special Fund-2022.
Deputy Minister for Science and Technology Dr Aung Zeya attended the ceremony and made a speech, saying that the government is fullfilling the requirements in MSME sector to meet international technology, standard and quality. He also said it is necessary to cooperate to accelerate the momentum for MSME development.
The Deputy Minister said food safety plays vital role in production and urged all to apply the knowledge gained at the seminar usefully and to disseminate it to others. This was followed by a clarification on the technologies and transfered them to the entrepreneurs.
A representative of MSME entreprenurs expressed words of thanks, pledging to apply the technologise effectively for MSME development. Later, the Deputy Ministry and party viewed around the MSME products displayed there.
As of today, the Department of Research and Innovation had transfered altogether 119 technologies, contributing to the development of MSME industry in the country. An awareness seminar on Food Safety Laboratory Center was continued in the afternoon in which experts shared their experiences and replied the questions raised by MSME entrepreneurs.
