MSME Development: Production of Agricultural Machinery

Coordination meeting for production of agricultural machinery was held at the temporary command office near the Uppatasanti Pagoda in Tabaung Ground in Nay Pyi Taw.

The meeting was attended by Vice-Chairman of the MSME development Committee and Union Minister for Industry Dr Charli Than, Union Ministers U Nyan Tun and U Ko Ko Lwin, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, Chairmen of Sub-committees, Region/State ministers and officials from relevant ministries.

The Union Minister Dr Charlie Than said that the meeting aims to upgrade the quality of the agricultural machinery produced by Region/State.

He stressed the need to specify the qualities of each item in producing the machinery, and to follow the production procedures. He added that the technical teams will be organized to share the technologies for ensuring equal quality and standard of the products.

The attendees also discussed the importance of agricultural machinery production for development of agriculture sector, technological assistance and efforts to produce machineries in compliance with the agriculture method.

Then the Union Ministers, Chairmen of the Sub-committees, Region/State ministers and officials viewed the agricultural machineries displayed at the Region/State exhibitions. Afterwards, Union Minister Dr Charlie Than met with the staff who participated in Union Level MSMEs Product Exhibition and Competition, and presented honorary certificates and cash.
